A little visit...Eden Hall, Norfolk
Just after Christmas, we took a family break with friends and stayed at the beautiful Eden Hall in North Norfolk. We have never been away at that time of year before and it was fabulous, something to look forward to after the crazy build up with working to deadlines leading up to the festive period.
Eden Hall is on the Norfolk coast and further along than we have been before and definitely worth the extra travel time. The building itself is gorgeous - it was transformed by the founder of Plum & Ashby and they have worked their magic throughout. It really is a home from home. Stunning decor, open log fire, the most comfortable beds - everything really has had a lot of thought and love put into it.
We went with our friends who have children too and the layout worked perfectly for two families. The cottage is spacious enough for us all to spread out, but still felt really cosy too.
We had a really relaxing few days going out visiting local villages (Holt was lovely and my favourite) walking along the beach and even went seal watching at Morston Quay which the boys all loved. The weather was so kind, sunny but cold - perfect for exploring and then returning to snuggle in front of the fire.
We also paid a trip to The Gunton Arms - what an amazing pub! the food was fantastic, it was child friendly and the staff were great. Highly recommend a visit there.
On the way home we stopped at The Garden farm shop for breakfast - another lovely little find. A beautifully renovated barn with absolutely scrumptious food presented beautifully too.
We all came away fully rested and raring to get stuck into the new year! It was the perfect opportunity for me to reflect on my business, where I need to focus and aspects that need changing. I felt truly inspired at Eden Hall, and have captured this carrying it home with me. Thank you for having us all.
(please note - this was not a gifted stay and not an advertisement but a true reflection of our time there).
